Giorgio
Galotti was born in 1979 in Naples, Italy.
He lived in Turin until 1986, now he resides in Rome.
He started his art path in 1999 and after the law studies he enveloped his
love for conceptual and contemporary art. His creative art pursuit and prerogative
are focused on the revalorization of the Canvas itself as a subjects of his
work and as a principle of the secular artistic production like the only and
undisputed working plan of the painting.
His own will is to give again the lead role in the art field to this brace
creating a direct unconscious relationship between the observer and the Canvas
that, in his last works, miss the twodimensional characteristic being in contact
with the opposite space and tainting that space with encoded messages between
canvas bars.
This almost obsessive relationship with the object Canvas lead him to give
life to
“The Canvas Revolution”, a proposal of review of the Canvas.
He works with galleries, arts centers, social associations and organisms belonging
to the development of contemporary arts. In 2003 he gave birth to the “Artbox
project”, a container of cosmopolitan artists, coming from all the countries
of the world and giving origin to collaborations and artistical development.
In 2007 he launched a new special kind of carbon canvas.
