EN – Bar X is a project to raise awareness of some crucial themes of contemporary art which follows the rather formal logic of focusing attention on a topic to be explored in greater depth through the inclusion of artworks to watch, dialogues to listen, experiences to live mixed with the activity and the casual viewers of the place hosting each episode. 

 

​After two episode in Cremona, Bar X arrives in Milan, in one of the most iconic places of the city: Bar Basso.

On the occasion of the Milano Art week, the first episode in Milan is a focus on the 'photography', through the involvement of one of the interpreter of this medium, Giovanna Silva, that presents a site-specific photographic work in dialogue with the daily life and the environments of this historical place.

 

On Friday 17th, the bar will also come alive through an intimate talk with the artist entitled Foto e Negroni (sbagliato) a meeting to narrate the state of the art, experiences and new approaches towards this highly abused medium of our era. It is also an occasion to taste one of the cocktails that changed the history of Milan and the bartending.

IT – ​Bar X è un progetto di sensibilizzazione verso alcuni temi cruciali dell’arte contemporanea che segue la logica, piuttosto formale, di focalizzare l’attenzione su un argomento da approfondire attraverso l’inserimento di opere d’arte “poste in visione”, dialoghi da assorbire ed esperienze da vivere, che si mescolano all’attività e al pubblico casuale del luogo che lo ospita.

Dopo due episodi a Cremona, il Bar X arriva a Milano, in uno dei luoghi più iconici della città: Bar Basso.

In occasione della Milano Art Week, il primo appuntamento milanese è un focus sulla 'fotografia' attraverso il coinvolgimento di una delle interpreti della fotografia Italiana, Giovanna Silva, che presenta un progetto fotografico site-specific a contatto con gli ambienti e la vita quotidiana dello storico locale di Città Studi.

 

Venerdì 17 il bar si anima attraverso una conversazione con l’artista dal titolo Foto e Negroni (sbagliato), un momento di incontro informale per raccontare lo stato dell'arte, le esperienze e i nuovi approcci verso il mezzo espressivo più abusato della nostra era e, con l’occasione, degustare uno dei cocktail che ha cambiato la storia di Milano e del bartending.
